The project involved the renovation of 5,376 square feet of existing rehab space to provide a more spacious gym, physical therapy bays and private area for therapists. By incorporating the corridor and utilizing it as part of the department, we were able to double the size of the gym area. The therapists now have a separate work room enabling them to keep patient information private. Butt glazed glass at the work room wall and an open floor plan allow the therapists unobstructed views of the patients at all times. By incorporating wood vinyl sheet flooring and soft nautical colors, the space becomes warm and inviting, yet easy to maintain. Cabinetry and a large storage room are designed to make effective use of space for storing supplies and equipment. A new isolated heating and cooling system for the department, along with new windows, will provide comfortable and controlled temperatures for the clients.
