Header_project_description

This award winning project includes a three-story, 60,000 square foot facility located on the new Sentara Princess Anne Medical campus in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The facility includes an 18,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center with 2 operating suites and 2 procedure rooms and space for future growth to 4 operating rooms. Orthopedic, ophthalmologic, ENT and general pediatric surgeries are performed at the facility. Other outpatient services offered include lab and x-ray, ultrasound, mobile MRI, physical and speech therapy, sports medicine and a 2 bed pediatric sleep lab. A variety of primary and specialty physician practices along with child abuse services have space in the new facility. To assist in creating a comfortable and engaging environment for pediatric patients in the facility, the finishes and interior design cleverly represent musical themes throughout the building and a laser harp provides an interactive musical element. The project has been recognized by the Virginia Beach Planning Commission and received a section award from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America..
